In order to create a CSR in ISPConfig follow the steps below: |

Step 1 | On the Home page of the Control Panel, click on "Sites" tab. | ||
Step 2 | Click on the Web Site you want to create the SSL Certificate to enter its settings. | ||
Step 3 | In the first tab (Domain) check the box with "SSL" to activate SSL Support on Web Server. | ||
Step 4 | Then click on SSL tab. | ||
Step 5 | Enter the settings of certificate. | ||
State : Enter your state. You must enter data until 64 characters. Locality : Enter your location. You must enter data until 64 characters. Organization (company) : Enter the name of the company for which the certificate is issued. Organization unit (company department) : Enter the name of the company department for which the certificate is issued. Country : Enter your country. SSL Domain: SSL Domain : Enter the name server for which you want to activate the SSL Certificate. e.g: your-domain.com. |

Step 6 | Check that all the infomation you have entered are proper and exact, because they will be used for the creation private key and CSR. | ||
Step 7 | In the bottom of the screen, on "SSL Action" section choose "Create Sertificate" and click Save. | ||
Step 8 | Within a few seconds will be created a) your private key b) the certificate issuance request and c) a self-signed certificate for trial usage. | ||
Step 9 | Click on Web Site for which you have created the CSR to enter its settings again. | ||
Step 10 | Then click on SSL tab. | ||
Step 11 | Go to CSR section and copy the text which starts with line -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE REQUEST----- and ends with -----END CERTIFICATE REQUEST----- |
