You can easily connect your e-mail account with Thunderbird for Desctop (version 38.7.0) following the steps below. |

| Step 1 | Click on 3 dashes up on the right -> Preferences -> Account Settings -> Account Actions -> Add Mail Account. |  |
| Step 2 | Enter Your Name, your E-mail Address and the Password and click Continue. |  |
| Step 3 | Choose IMAP or POP3 * depending on what you need and click Done). |  |
| Step 4 | Choose Confirm security exception. | |
| Step 5 | Finish. | |
* POP 3 servers by default store emails in the servers, until the download from the e-mail program you have. As soon as you download the emails, the server is informed that the message has been received and the server copy should be deleted.
IMAP servers on the other hand allow permanently email storage to the server.
