| In order to create CSR in Microsoft IIS 6.0:1. follow the instructions below: |

| Step 1 | Open Internet Services Manager (Start > Programs > Administrative Tools). | ||
| Step 2 | Right click on the website you would like to create the key/CSR. | ||
| Step 3 | Select “Properties”. | ||
| Step 4 | Click on the tab “Directory Security”. | ||
| Step 5 | Under “Secure Communications” click on “Server Certificate”. | ||
| Step 6 | This will make “Web Site Certificate Wizard” to start – Click “Next”. | ||
| Step 7 | From “Web Site Certificate Wizard” select “Create a new Certificate”. | ||
| Step 8 | Select “Prepare the request now, but send it later” from the list. | ||
| Step 9 | Type the name of the certificate and select 2048 bit length from the key file. Follow the instructions below in order to create CSR: This information will appear in your certificate and indicates users the key owner. CSR is used only for certificate's creation. Use only latin characters and do not use any of the following characters [! @ # $ % ^ * ( ) ~ ? > < & / \ , . " '] |

| Step 10 | Type your company's information. | ||
| Step 11 | Type the common name. Common name is the name for which you wish to issue the certificate. For example “www.domain.com” or “domain.com”. It is important to give the right Common Name, because the certificate will be issued and working based on that. If e.g. the certificate is issued for “domain.com”, the browser will start showing warning messages for unsafe operation if you try to open the page http://www.domain.com (with “www”). |

| Step 12 | Type the file name of the certificate you are asked for (CSR) and the location you would like to save it. | ||
| Step 13 | On the next page a summary of the certificate you wish to install will be displayed. | ||
| Step 14 | Click 'Finish' for the “Web Server Certificate wizard” to complete. Open the created file and copy the CSR it includes. | ||
